The spot was previously held by “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The movie will now be released on May 2017. The shift of release dates is indicative, as it is said that Jumanji was pushed for the release of Spider-Man.

The Spider-Man reboot is being directed by Jon Watts. Tom Holland will be playing the role of young Spidey in the movie. Jake Kasdan will direct Jumanji. The original movie starred Robin Williams and was released in 1995. It is the story of two kids who accidentally freed a man trapped in a board game for decades.

Marvel is facing a lot of criticism for the rescheduling of Spider-Man. The important characters like Captain Marvel and Black Panther is coming in the way. Jumanji can well benefit from the push of dates. It is expected to have some major special effects in it.
