What's This?

Game of Thrones has a reputation for killing characters and leaving fans to wallow in despair as their favorites get cut down. Sophie Turner has revealed it is the same for the actors who play them in the show, not knowing if their current script will be their last.

A report by Page Six revealed that Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the series, is terrified. She doesn’t know if her day on the set will be her last. Although they aren’t in any danger, they do feel a level of anxiety each time they film a new scene. With the show having strayed far from the books that they now follow entirely different stories.

Even if the series did follow the books, it would not have mattered in this upcoming season, since George R.R. Martin has yet to publish the next book in the Song of Ice and Fire saga. With the past five seasons slowly chipping away the original cast, even everyone’s beloved bastard of Winterfell, there seems to be little time left for everyone.

In an interview with GQ, Turner described the set as crazy, with everyone asking who is gonna be next. She even compared it to living in the Blair Witch Project. The first few deaths were a big deal; they would hold memorial drinks to the passing of a character.

As the series went on, they stopped holding fake memorial services to their dead personas as the killing of important characters became routine. With so many characters dying these last few seasons, the actress joked about being out every night, and they can hardly afford it.

It is amazing how both fans and actors don’t know who will exit the show next. That fact adds a bit of genuine fear in their acting, not knowing if they might be part of the next Red Wedding.

Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres this Sunday exclusively on HBO.
