What's This?

Rumors are running wild that the Sony Xperia Z6 will launch soon, but there’s no confirmation on any particular release date. Possibilities of the launch during the Mobile World Congress are high, but we will still have to wait to find it out. Rumors, however, claim that the Sony Xperia Z6 display is similar to the iPhone 6S, but what about the other features? Let’s compare the two phones and find out the differences between them.

According to Sony Xperia blog, the Xperia Z6 will come with a 5.2 or 5.3-inches Triluminos LED display screen with 2K resolution. But the iPhone 6s has a retina HD display screen measuring 4.7-inches with an LED-backlit widescreen and 1334×750 pixel resolutions, states Apple.

In a report by Neurogadget, the Xperia Z6 and the iPhone 6s both rely on pressure detection technology on its screen that respond to the touch. While the iPhone 6s has a 3D touch screen, the Xperia Z6 is rumored to feature Sony’s own pressure-sensitive display design technology.

It is expected that Sony will upgrade camera sensors to 25MP in the upcoming device, reports claim. In addition, the rear camera will feature dual LED flash, while the front camera, which is expected to be an 8MP camera sensor will feature LED flash.

Coming to the Apple iPhone 6s, its rear camera has much lesser power compared to the Xperia Z6, which is a 12MP camera sensor. Nevertheless, the Cupertino firm believes that great photos aren’t best measured by megapixels but with an excellent sensor, focus pixels, an image signal processor, optical image stabilization and enhanced local tone mapping. Also, the special iSight camera captures shots at par excellence. The phone has a 5MP front camera, according to reports.

Battery is one of the most highlighting factors when buying a phone. Good news is that the Sony Xperia Z6 will feature a 3,600mAH battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. On the contrary, the Apple iPhone 6s will come with a built-in rechargeable lithium-on battery that will offer 14 hours of talk time.

While the Sony Xperia Z6 will come with Snapdragon 820 with dual image signal processors, the Apple iPhone 6s will be powered by an A9 chip with 64-bit architecture.
