Sony made records by introducing world’s first 4K smartphone, Xperia Z5 Premium. Released in November, the phone is designed to perfection with lightning-fast response. Let’s find out how the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium fair against LG’s Nexus 5X, which was also announced last year.
With the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, you can expect the best of Sony’s TV technologies designed in a phone. Boasting 5.5-inch display size with a 4K ultra HD display resolution, the Xperia Z5 Premium offers unrivaled viewing experience. Sony has taken a giant leap in display technology by adding a great number of pixels to its ultra-sharp display screen reading 806 ppi, reports Sony Mobile.
Hailed as an all-round smartphone, the LG Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen size with 1920 x 1080 IPS display with 423 ppi. It has a stunning display quality, but is less powerful than Sony’s display quality.
Neurogadget states that the Xperia Z5 Premium is heavier than the LG Nexus 5x with the former weighing 180 grams and the latter weighing 136 grams. As for the fingerprint scanner, the Nexus 5X has the scanner positioned at the backside below the camera, while the Xperia Z5 has the scanner embedded on the side of the phone.
You can use extra storage space in the Xperia Z5 Premium by inserting a microSd card. The phone comes with an inbuilt memory of 32GB, which is expandable up to 200GB. The Nexus 5X, on the other hand, does not support a memory card slot but comes in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB.
If you are looking for a truly competitive camera, then Xperia Z5 Premium wins the battle. It boasts a 23MP rear camera with a 5.1MP front camera. On the contrary, the LG Nexus 5X has a 12.3MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. As for the battery, the Xperia Z5 Premium’s 3,430mAH battery wins over the Nexus 5X’s 2,700mAH battery.
An analysis of the above shows that the Xperia Z5 Premium wins in a 4 out of 5 checklist on the aforementioned specs.
