Sony Confirms Dates For 16 New Movies, Including Two Bad Boys Sequels

The Will Smith-Martin Lawrence movie “Bad Boys” is slated to present two more sequels. The action comedy which has delivered its second installment is set to provide two more, “Bad Boys 3” and “Bad Boys 4.”


Sony has announced the dates for two more “Bad Boys” sequels on Wednesday. “Bad Boys 3” will be released on Feb 7, 2017 and “Bad Boys 4” will be in the theaters July 3, 2019.

The two “Bad Boys” films that are already released have grossed over $400 million worldwide. The company want to bank on the promise and return with the popular chemistry between Smith and Lawrence in the first sequel.

The dates for around 16 movies were announced on Wednesday, including the two “Bad Boys” sequel.

The release date of “Passengers” is set on Dec 21, 2016 to make sure it gets an award season push. The sci-fi romance between Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt will be directed by Morten Tyldum. Tyldum is famous for his “Imitation Game” direction.

Nikolaj Arcel will be directing “The Dark Tower,” which has its date on Jan 13, 2017. Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver” will also be a movie to look out for, set to be released on March 17,2017.

A “Jumanji” remake is going to take the hot seat in Christmas next year. “Ghostbusters” will star Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig and will be released July 15, 2016.

As Sony has strong belief that “Patient Zero” and “Uncharted” has sequel potentials, it has already released release dates for both. George Clooney and Julia Roberts will be seen in Jodie Foster’s “Money Monsters” to be released on April 8, 2016.

The dates for “Spider-man” and the animated “Spider-man” have already been announced by Sony. The action-packed film and animation will be released on July 28, 2017 and July 20, 2018, respectively.
