Could it really be possible that Song Joong Ki is just using his rumored romance with “Descendants of the Sun” co-star Song Hye Kyo to hide his alleged sexuality?
Recent reports have suggested that the 30-year-old South Korean actor’s closeness to his male co-stars is very obvious. While this does not make him gay, his continued silence on how he feels about Song Hye Kyo is starting to make people think that his preferences lie elsewhere.
Such is the crazy world of showbizness after all.
According to Soompi, his “Descendants of the Sun” co-star Kim Min Suk proved in an Instagram post on June 10 how generous Song Joong Ki to him.
“Joong Ki hyung, thank you so much!! I will live well,” Kim captioned his photo of the actor’s housewarming present – a refrigerator. “I won’t forget your kindness! #RefrigeratorPresent #TouchingMoment #CaptainYoo #Sincerely #ThankYou #ILoveYou.”
Meanwhile, International Business Times Singapore disclosed how the Daejeon-born star expressed his “strong connection” with his “The Running Man” co-star Lee Kwang Soo.
While meeting his fans in Hong Kong, Song Joong Ki was reportedly vocal in sharing his “affection” towards Lee.
“During the filming for ‘Descendants of the Sun’, I engraved Kwang Soo’s name in a stone at the beach in Greece,” the rumored boyfriend of Song Hye Kyo dished. “It was the first time I ever did such a thing.”
Accordingly, the message on the rock read, “Joong Ki ‘Love’ Kwang Soo,” while the phrase ‘Asian prince’ under the latter’s name was also written.
Amid these reports on how he shows his affection towards his male co-stars, could it be that he has same-sex preferences?
In 2011, Ningin reported that the lead star of the hit South Korean military drama series was a subject of malicious rumors especially when “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” was aired.
In the show, he portrayed the role of Goo Yongha, the love interest of Yoo Ahin’s character.
Despite these speculations about the sexuality of Song Joong Ki, we are sure fans will not be bothered. And if he is, we are sure many will say “we don’t care we still love him!”
