Days after her release from her alleged abductors, Sherri Papini revealed in detail the horrors she encountered for three weeks held captive.
The story of Sherri, who went missing on November 2, has captivated the entire country over the past few weeks. The interest intensified when the 31-year-old mother revealed her horrifying experience with her captors.
Barely a week after her release, Keith Papini, Sherri’s husband, in a statement to Good Morning America, revealed the surrounding circumstances of his wife’s abduction. Sherri disappeared on November 2 while jogging around their neighborhood near Redding.
“Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to see upon my arrival at the hospital nor the details of the true hell I was about to hear. My first sight was my wife in a hospital bed, her face covered in bruises ranging from yellow to black because of repeated beatings, the bridge of her nose broken,” Keith said in a statement.
Keith added that some of the horrors Sherri experienced included being branded, beaten up, and filled with bruises and burns.

But as message of sympathies come in, some people have cast doubts on Sherri’s disappearance. Keith addressed such people and told them not to spread lies about his wife’s abduction.
Sherri was released in Yolo County on Thanksgiving Day at around 4:30 a.m. The Shasta County Sheriff’s office conducted a follow-up operation after receiving information about Sherri’s release, the Sacramento Bee reported.
In a press conference, the investigator revealed vital information on Sherri’s abductors: two of them are Spanish-speaking women. They added that the identity of the abductors remains unknown as of posting.
