While people on the internet have been fan casting actors for DCEU’s Shazam, a few actors have been pleading for the role as well. Recently, Alan Ritchson revealed he’s “gonna play Shazam” after answering a fan’s query on Twitter. However, it looks like the studio hasn’t finalized it yet.

Derek Theler has been enthusiastic lately about his ability to play Shazam for Warner Bros. The actor uploaded Photoshopped images of himself wearing the superhero’s suit. Check out his images from Instagram below.

Theler is known for his role as Danny Wheeler in Baby Daddy. However, the young actor isn’t as famous as the fan casted actors in Hollywood yet.

According to Comic Book Movie, the actor revealed his interest in playing a superhero. He said, “I’m a huge, huge comic book fan. I love the superhero movies so much. If I had to be one of the Avengers, I would go with Thor. I would have to. I just think I look the part too much, and I’m a fan of all of them, but Thor would be something that I think I could put on. I think I could make it happen.”

Ray Fisher, a new young actor, got his breakthrough role as Cyborg in Justice League; other actors are auditioning for various roles through social media.

Recently, Ryan Potter also tagged Ben Affleck on his tweet, asking him for the role of Tim Drake/Robin in the untitled Batman movie. The actor went all the way by creating a small audition clip for the fictional role as well.

Currently, Shazam is expected to be released on April 5, 2019. However, it still hasn’t been confirmed as a live project under Warner Bros.’ schedule. Moreover, Dwayne Johnson would likely be playing Black Adam for DCEU as well.
