It was after a month after the filing of the lawsuit when the Lucas’ girlfriend came home to discover him dead on the bathroom floor.
According to Wall Street on Parade, it has now been a month since Lucas died without a cause of death announced. However, the Chief Medical Examiner’s office said that no official announcement can still be made, except for the fact that the cause of death is “pending.”

Officers Kathryn Fitzgerald and Adam Sotelo from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, responded to a 911 call from Savannah King, the girlfriend of Lucas. The official report said that the officers reached the scene at 7:13 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2.
The report stated that the activist was on the bathroom floor, completely unconscious. When DCFD Engine 9 arrived at the scene, he had no signs of life.
According to the Observer, it was alleged that the activist failed to serve the DNC, and the lawsuit was cited to be “Insufficient service of process.” The publication stated that he was filmed serving the lawsuit to DNC headquarters in July. However, he was unable to give out appropriate testimony to combat the testimony of staff member Rebecca Herries.
Shawn Lucas was an ardent Bernie Sanders supporter. Earlier, WikiLeaks released emails that shows DNC executives plotting to undermine Sanders as an atheist (which Sanders says he is not). They were also conspiring to say that Bernie Sanders never got his act together and that is campaign was a “mess.”
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Bernie Sanders supporters against Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC. It was said that before the beginning of the elections, they had been prepping for Hillary Clinton.
