Kendall Jenner, 20-year-old fashion model, has recently attested at the trial in Los Angeles against her alleged stalker.
“I’ve never been so scared in my life” said Jenner. The Los Angeles Jury charged the stalker with misdemeanor stalking and trespassing. If proven guilty, six months of staying in jail awaits him.
Shavaughn McKenzie, a 25-year-old man, was arrested in Hollywood Hills in August. McKenzie is indicted of pestering Jenner in her own driveway trying to talk to her while banging her car window.
While things get sketchy, Jenner felt fearful and helpless so she called some friends for help while she watches McKenzie. Thankfully, Shelli Azoff, family friend rushed to her place to comfort Jenner. Azoff went with her husband. Jenner reportedly stayed with the couple for a few nights as she was afraid to stay in her room alone. Shelli Azoff also testified that the stalking case has left Jenner so terrified.
McKenzie’s lawyer, Taylor Shramo, revealed to the jury that McKenzie is mentally ill. He defends that McKenzie was only trying to talk to Jenner and did not mean to cause any harm but Jenner said he recognizes him as the same person who had stopped her twice while she was driving outside Westwood, a condominium she owns.
Jenner describes this as the scariest moment of her life. In fact, she has renovated her home a little for security reasons. More lights, cameras and security have been added.
She says, “It’s definitely put me even more on edge, I definitely don’t feel safe in my own house anymore.” According to TMZ, she got a temporary restraining order against her stalker, McKenzie, at the time, and a judge extended it for the next five years. McKenzie is not allowed to be seen with Jenner with a minimum of 100 yards.
