Shaquille O’Neal, one of the ten new inductees into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, has thrown down the gauntlet to WWE superstar Big Show.

Shaq made a shocking appearance at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas, last weekend during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. During that match, Shaq and Big Show had an epic showdown (Watch Above) which had social media buzzing for hours.

Ready for a fight…

Shaq and Big Show were eliminated from the battle royal when the rest of competitors ganged up on them. After the match, Shaq proceeded to challenge Big Show.

“I have been wanting Big Show for years. The first one didn’t go over too well because we got thrown out of the ring. Hopefully, before he retires, it will be just me against him (in a single match). If you’re listening, I am ready to take on Big Show whenever and wherever. Just let me know,” said the NBA legend.

Shaq said he was thrilled to participate in front of 100,00 fans at the AT&T Stadium. “This is an incredible venue. 100,000 people were awesome. A lot of people were surprised to see me. I think once they realized it was me, they gave me a good reaction. Hopefully, we can do Shaq vs Big Show down the road.”

Shaquille O’Neal vs Big Show set for next year?

Earlier on Wednesday, Shaq told TNT’s Inside the NBA that his dream match versus Big Show was set in stone for next year’s WrestleMania. “The next time I fight Big Show and body slam him through a table, we’ll have a lot to talk about. That’s going down next year, in Orlando.”

Shaq also revealed that WWE were keen on working with him: “It was a beautiful event and I’ve been a wrestling fan all my life, so when they called me to do it, I had to do it.”
