During an interview with GQ, the actress looked back at growing up as a child star.
Selena stated, “I didn’t have an opportunity to figure out my life without people having an opinion every step of the way.
“I chose this. So I’m not gonna sit here and say, ‘Oh, my God, poor me, I didn’t have a normal childhood.’ I don’t give a f*#k about that.”
As stated by People, the actress spent most of her time growing up either in front of the camera on Wizards of Waverly Place, or taking over stages as the vocalist of electronica-inspired pop rock band “Selena Gomez and the Scene.”
Selena once talked with Into the Gloss on October 2014, and she said, “It’s been such a transitional year for me.
“There were times, I’ll be honest, I don’t handle all of this as well as individuals think, so it’s been of great significance to really figure out what makes me feel grounded.”
On the other hand, as claimed by Hollywood Life, Selena and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber recently communicated with each other through text. A source said, “But as much as it isn’t getting romantic right now, things change every second with Selena and Bieber, that by the weekend if Canadian pop star is lonely, he will probably start putting on the charm to get Selena interested again.”
