Brendan Gauthier was surrounded by his friends, family and teachers as he checked his computer to see if he received an acceptance from his dream college, Cornell University.

A video, captured by TM Landry College Prep in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, shows the unforgettable moment the group of people learn Gauthier secured an admission. Everyone erupts in sheer joy and celebration when Gauthier learns he had been accepted.
Speaking with the Cornell Daily Sun, Gauthier said it was an extremely nervous moment. “It was just the most nervous I’ve felt through all my 17 years of living,” he said. “Typing on the computer was very slow to what I normally do.”
As of of writing, the video has been viewed around 2.6 million times. It has received 51,000 reactions and more than 32,000 shares. Indeed a beautiful moment for Gauthier.
Cornell University ranked #15 nationally
TM Landry College Prep School wrote on a post that Cornell accepts only 15 percent of applicants. The university is ranked #15 nationally.
Furthermore, a former student of Cornell, Eric Jonathan Roy, congratulated Gauthier in a comment.
“First off, congratulations on being accepted to Cornell. I’m originally from Kaplan, LA, and graduated from Cornell in 2000 with a degree in Economics,” Roy said. “Bundle up!
