Android devices like Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are often subjected to threats, and fortunately, companies like Samsung are doing something about it. The Korean tech giant has issued an update that patches vulnerabilities and enhances performance.

Monthly security updates for mobile phone devices have become normal that users will not make fuss about another monthly upgrade. However, it appears that Samsung has something great in store for users.

According to Android Authority, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are in line for an upgrade. The update is around 151.89 MB, so users may need to free up their memory a little it. Likewise, some of the things people can expect from the upgrade include: performance improvements, Bluetooth fixes, and GPS upgrades. While these may seem great already, Samsung made sure to throw in something extra.

The OTA update is also offering the Samsung Cloud. A feature that is included in the Galaxy Note 7 – although the phone is not yet out on the market. This means that Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be able to try to the feature. This will make it easier for users to backup, sync and restore their files.

Moreover, Samsung users will now be able to switch devices and access their data without all the fuss. Resetting devices to factory settings should not be worrisome anymore as data can be retrieved more conveniently.

According to GSM Arena, the monthly Android update from Samsung works just like other similar update. People will have to wait for the prompt. They can also check their phone settings manually to see if the software is available. Aside from the improvements mentioned, there should also be NFC and Bluetooth-related performance improvements included in the update.
