Samsung launched two flagship phones, “Galaxy Note 5” and “Samsung S6 Edge+” back in August, after which, Apple launched “iPhone 6S” and “iPhone 6S Plus.” Where these latest iPhones made a good amount even after encountering a number of problems among customers, Samsung failed to beat Apple.

When it comes to survival, only sales matter. Design, looks, and features are all factors that contribute to success. At the end of the day, if your device is packed with excellent specs but no one purchases it, sooner or later you are pushed out of the market. Samsung’s sales are not bad at all, but the brand clearly wants to be the next iPhone and top charts.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 is packed with excellent specs. Samsung is said to cut down the prices for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge and will sell them cheaper than Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to sport iPhone 7’s 3D Touch feature. It can also be among the few devices running on Google’s latest operating system, Android Marshmallow. For the camera, Samsung might adapt Xperia Z5’s IMX300 sensor to improve its picture quality. Depending on the region, the phone will be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or the Exynos 8890.

On the other hand, iPhone will also launch with drastic design changes. Apple is said to be getting rid of the Home Button and opting for sapphire displays. Rumors are that the phone will be powered by Intel chips. Now, only when both the phones are launched will we be able to tell if Samsung’s price-slashing will work or become another flop.
