What's This?

“Home and Away” is expanding its star cast and this time, Samantha Jade has secured a permanent position in the show. The 28-year-old pop singer who is known for her unleashing performances will be trying her luck in acting for one of the most popular shows in Australia.

Samantha was always interested in acting and this time she got a serious chance to show her skills. She confirmed the news by saying, “I’m always asked when I will do more acting and now I am saying yes, I am coming to the Bay.” She added, “It is really exciting. I’ve wanted to do more acting and I wanted to do something unexpected and different and this is very very different to Kylie.”

She was noticed during the shooting for her first scene. She was there in the Palm Beach set in Sydney on Monday for her first shoot. She was looking stunning in the red dress that showcased her slim waist. It is rumored that Samantha will play the character of Isla and the scenes she shot will be aired beginning next year.

While asked about her character in the show, Samantha said, “I can’t say too much but I can say she comes to the Bay with bad intentions. She has a bit of a past and she falls for one of the favourite boys on the show.”

This is not the first time Samantha tries acting. Channel Seven’s bio-telemovie, “NXS: Never Tear Us Apart” was released in 2014 and she played Kylie Minogue. She is now going to shed her good girl image and show some raw shades of her character in “Home and Away.”

Samantha was the winner of X-Factor in 2012, and currently she has a new album to release. When asked about her new ventures, Samantha said, “There’s lots going on at the moment, which is really exciting.”
