What's This?

Sam Smith looked really suave while walking the red carpet for GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday. But that’s not all that is keeping fans amazed. The 23-year-old musical sensation is all set to sing the theme song for new Bond movie “Spectre.” The song “Writing’s on the Wall” will be sung by the Grammy winning star who has exclaimed that he is happy to be part of the venture.

Sam mentioned in his Twitter post, “I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.” The singer has also mentioned that it took only 20 minutes for him to write the song. Regular collaborator Jimmy Napes was present during the composition and it was recorded back in January. The song will be available for streaming starting September 25.

Sam Smith previously denied the rumor of singing the new Bond movie’s song by saying, “That’s definitely not me. I’ve still got loads to do. I’ve got an Australia tour, but I kind of finish in December which is great, it gives me a chance to be in London, be in my home and go out with my friends.’’

This time, Sony has confirmed in a press release that Sam will be the one to sing the song. Sam Smith had posted a photo on his Twitter account and kept fans guessing.
