Ryan Lochte is in for big trouble reportedly for lying and lodging a false complaint with the Rio police for an alleged robbery case Sunday. The Team USA swimmer has already left the country.

It is being alleged that Ryan Lochte made up the story of the robbery so that he will not get caught cheating on his girlfriend Kayla Rae Reid, Morehits1037.cbslocal.com reports.

The Brazilian police arrived at the Olympic Village on Wednesday to seize the passports of Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen. They wanted to question the duo about the robbery.

A surveillance video obtained by the Daily Mail shows Lochte and his teammate Jimmy Feigen laughing and smiling as they return to the Olympic Village after the robbery. During a regular security check, his teammates appear to be holding a phone and a wallet.

The 32-year-old Lochte has flown to the U.S. after the Rio 2016 Olympics. The Olympic swimmer claimed that he and teammates Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger, and Jimmy Feigen were robbed at gunpoint by fake cops on Sunday.

However, in an interesting turn of events, Brazilian jiu-jitsu master Renzo Gracie revealed that Ryan Lochte entirely made up the robbery story to save himself from cheating on his girlfriend. He was speaking to local publication ‘Veja’.

Gracie made the claims on the basis of an anonymous tipster’s version who worked in the Olympic Village and texted him saying that the swimmer’s story was fabricated.

“This video brings another clue that the text I received is true. They are smiling and apparently with all belongings. I do not believe this to be consistent with someone who had just been robbed, even in a country unfamiliar,” said Renzo Gracie.

In a latest development, two American swimmers were pulled off their flight to the U.S. by the Brazilian authorities, Olympic officials said on Wednesday night, New York Times reports.

“We can confirm that Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were removed from their flight to the United States by Brazilian authorities,” a spokesman for the United States Olympic Committee said. He added that they were gathering more information.
