What's This?

To date, there is no word on what lies ahead for former Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. UFC claims that “Rowdy” could return later this year but nothing has come close to such from happening.

Will Ronda Rousey Return At All?

It has almost been nine months since UFC fans saw Rousey inside the Octagon. She last appeared at UFC 193 in November, suffering a shocking knockout loss at the hands of Holly Holm.

The loss hit Rousey hard. In fact, it reached the point where the former champion considered committing suicide. Such hit the headlines and many criticized her for being weak mentally. But aside from that, many felt that Rousey was simply not ready to return even with Dana White and company believing she will.

It remains to be seen what the real score is for Rousey though many ask if she will return at all. She could ditch the UFC altogether and focus on Hollywood instead.

But most believe that Rousey simply needs to get herself back on track and that her competitive nature will eventually lure her back into the cage. While most associate that with the UFC, another promotion could be lurking to snag her from the clutches of White and company.

Lingerie Fighting Championship (LFC) recently announced that they intend to pursue the former UFC champion. LFC Chief Executive Office Shaun Donnelly confirmed interest in striking a deal with Rousey.

“Ronda Rousey has long been at the very top of our wish list,” Donnelly said. “Not only is she one of the top fighters of all time, she is also a very beautiful woman who isn’t afraid to show off her sexy side.”

It may sound a longshot but the promotion believes money could sway Rousey their way. Donnelly explains that he is aware of an issue involving pay for female fighters. The LFC has been known to put up purses in excess of $15,000 but reportedly plan to offer something more like shares with the company.
