The complete “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” teaser was released on Thursday, and it contained some major spoilers. One striking feature is that it can be observed that the Stormtroopers look so much fashionable now!
Movie critic Peter Howell of The Star revealed that while the newly-released trailer is 12-second longer than that of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” it allows fans to ponder on certain things as they wait for the release date of the movie on Dec. 16.
First and foremost, it was pointed out that the new film directed by “Godzilla’s” Gareth Edwards tackles a story that is “both old and new” since it is a new project for the big screen, yet the setting is 1977.
The “Rogue One” teaser revealed that “It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.
The clip, which revealed he movie’s subtitle “A New Hope” also showed Stormtroopers who have become “ferocious fashionistas” in the latest installment of the George Lucas film.
The face mask-covered soldiers of the evil empire donned two different outfits in the “Rogue One” teaser. The first is “an all-black one for hybrid Shadowtroopers featured in a fiery attack scene.” The second is a “two-toned gold-accented number glimpsed in a subterranean chase.”
In the meantime, ABC News talked to Philadelphia-based film writer Scott Weinberg on his thoughts on the upcoming film by Disney. Weinberg stated that one important feature about this upcoming film is the importance of female. “You could count the important women in the first six Star Wars movies on one hand — nice to see the pendulum swing the other way now,” he said.
