The 43-year-old Johnson wrote, “Like a proud papa silverback, just look at this talented cool/hot #Baywatch cast.. @ilfenator, @alexannadaddario, @zacefron, @priyankachopra, @kellyrohrbach, @thejonbass and some tatted up, bald brown man with a large head.”
The Rock also posted that the crew in the photo has been working extremely hard for months for their roles, and the time has come to start filming. And their squad will bring the world some beach fun. The Baywatch cast were laughing as they looked over their scripts. Zac Efron sat next to Johnson sporting a “Bae Watch” sweatshirt.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the Indian film actress Priyanka Chopra, who just got on board in the Baywatch cast last week, won’t be on set for the first day of filming. Chopra will be the film’s villain. Dwayne Johnson will star as an experienced lifeguard who collaborated with newcomer Zac Efron to defend the beach. Ilfenesh Hadera is set to play as The Rock’s love interest.
American model and actress Kelly Rohrbach will be filling in the character held by Pamela Anderson in the original series. Alexandra Daddario takes on the female lead role of Summer. Seth Gordon will direct the flick, with Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman as producers.
No word is out regarding the release date of the Baywatch reboot.
