What's This?

Zelda Williams wants to spend some days in solitude ahead of her father’s birthday. Zelda, whose father Robins Williams committed suicide in 2014, will be taking a week off from social media.

The 25-year-old aspiring actress posted a picture of clouds on her Instagram on Monday, saying, “Kinda hoping I fly thru that very cloud on the way home.”

Zelda, Robin Williams’ daughter, later explained the reason by saying, “I will be taking a break from social media in the coming weeks.

“It’s a time better served away from the opinions or sentiments of others, and I appreciate your understanding.”

Zelda Williams also mentioned, “In my absence, I understand there will be those who wish to leave messages regarding Dad on my board, but please attempt to be respectful and kind to one another in the process, both because I will not be here to delete or mediate trolling, and because kindness is in short supply these days anyhow.”

Following her father’s demise, Zelda took a vacation from social media. At that point in time, the reason was the cyberbullying she faced due to the suicide. Robin Williams, the Oscar-winning actor, took his life on Aug 11 2014 and left three children behind.

Zelda talked about his father for the first time after his death in an interview with NBC. As the Daily Mail reported, she said, “It’s going to take a lot of work to allow myself to have the sort of fun, happy life that I had, but that’s important.”

She also added, “People are finally starting to approach talking about illnesses that people can’t immediately see. (My father) talked about his alcoholism. He joked about it, which I think you’re supposed to.”

She mentioned that she got a tattoo of a hummingbird on her hand just to remember her father. Robin Williams was going through depression for a long time and that made him take his own life.

Zelda started her acting career at the age of 5 with “In Search of Dr. Seuss.” At the age of 15, she was part of “House of D” opposite her father and Anton Yelchin. She has acted in a number of television series and short films after that.
