Iron Man 4 may feature Harley Keener, played by Ty Simpkins, in the role. He was there in Iron Man 3 as someone who helped Tony Stark track down the Mandarin. There are strong rumors that he will be talking up the role. However, there is no confirmation yet.
The young actor in question was also seen in Jurassic World. He also got a nomination for Best Performance by a Younger Actor at the Saturn Awards for his role in Iron Man 3. However, considering him as Iron Man will be a crazy idea.
Marvel has still not confirmed the Iron Man 4 release date. It was previously rumored that Iron Man 4 is cancelled because Robert Downey Jr is not ready to reprise his role. However, it has been said that the movie will be released in 2020.
The contract of Robert Downey Jr. with the franchise has ended after Iron Man 3. He mentioned in an interview, “I also recognize that I’ll be turning 50 by the time I promote this movie. The clock is ticking down on the amount of memories and participation that I would allow myself and not embarrass the medium with.”
This has raised speculations that he will not be part of the fourth installment. However, rumors also say that he has extended his contract and is looking forward to a long career with Marvel.
Marvel has announced release schedules for its upcoming movies. It has announced the lineups until 2019. There is no Iron Man 4 in it. So if the movie happens, it will be after 2020.
