Rihanna will reportedly showcase her Spring/Summer 2017 Fenty collection with Puma at the Paris Fashion Week in September end. The PFW will be held from Sep.27 and Puma is reportedly looking for a time slot for the Rihanna collaboration.
Fenty Puma by Rihanna was not listed on the preliminary calendar released by the Chambre Syndicale on Wednesday. The 28-year-old singer launched her Fenty Puma by Rihanna collection with much fanfare with a runway show during New York Fashion Week in February.
Supermodels like Gigi and Bella Hadid walked the catwalk for RiRi for her streetwear collection. Besides, Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour and Pete Wentz were among those in the front row.
Though Rihanna will not showcase at the NYFW, her brand will have a presence at the fashion week. There will exclusive pop-ups at Bergdorf Goodman and Footlocker’s new retail concept Six:02.
Both the pop-up shops will have a 24-hour exclusive on the collection before distribution goes wide on Sept. 7. However, the singer reportedly eyeing PFW this season has not yet been confirmed either by the “Diamonds” hitmaker herself or by Puma, WWD reports.
It is being said that RiRi showcasing at PFW will be only for one season. Naomi Campbell recently modeled RiRi’s fall Fenty designs for Vogue Italia.
The singer was spotted in London over the weekend wearing a black, yellow and white pair of Puma heeled boots that could be part of her collection. Among this season’s Fenty launches are styles including a sneaker heel, a sneaker boot and sneaker boot wedge, Footwear News reports.
All these are in lace-up style including pointed-toe, over-the-knee pairs with a boxing boots influence and flatform versions of the creepers and wedge combat boots. Details of the new collection, where it will be sold or the price points have not yet been revealed.
Rihanna’s Fenty trainers, creepers and slides tend to sell out very quickly, and the same is likely to happen at the NFFW pop-up show and may create frenzy among her fans.
Rihanna was named as the creative director of the German athletic company in 2014. She was roped in by the international brand to help increase sales in a three-year contract.
