Rihanna has a thing about Pokémon Go, the game that has taken the world by storm. She does not like it, especially when concertgoers actually play it while watching her perform.
The 28-year-old singer does not seem to be a fan of the game, and warned her fans who came to watch her in concert not to indulge in Pokémon Go over the weekend.
“I don’t want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends. I don’t want to see you catching any Pokémons up in this bitch.” Rihanna told the crowd while performing on stage, Vulture reports. The Barbados beauty wanted her fans to enjoy her concert and live the moment with her for the two hours.
Needless to say that whoever had come to watch the “Diamonds” hitmaker had spent three-digit to hear her. The Grammy award winning Rihanna expressing her desire to fans, to give their cent percent to her when she was singing, came as a surprise.
Rihanna was mostly referencing to Pokemon Go. The singer’s outburst has come close behind an incident that happened during Beyoncé’s “Formation” world tour concert in Stade de France on Thursday.
The “Crazy In Love” hitmaker was performing at the stadium in Paris, where a fan was not impressed with a girl sitting at the front and not paying attention to Queen B, and busy playing Pokémon Go on her mobile phone, Billboard reports.
“This b—- is finding Pokémon. She’s finding Pokémon when Beyoncé’s singing. F—ing Pokémon! Look at where she is. Look at where she is. She’s next to the stage!” a fan behind her was shouting in a video clip, posted on his Instagram. The video has received 30.7k views.
Meanwhile in another development, RiRi announced in a video message that she will star in a recurring role in “Bates Motel” Season 5, which airs on the Universal channel in the U.K. in Comic Con 2016 in San Deigo on Friday. Rihanna is all set to play the role of Marion Bates in the final season of the television series, Hello reports.
