‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Season 7 Premiere Recap: Teresa Giudice & Daughters Reunited Plus More Housewives’ Drama!

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” (RHONJ) season 7 premiered on Sunday and was a complete tear-jerker. It featured Teresa Giudice returning home from prison after serving a sentence of 11 and half months for fraud.

The 44-year-old was reunited with her daughters in the opening episode of season 7 of RHONJ.

It is not therefore surprising that her daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana stole the show. Eldest Gia broke down in tears after seeing Teresa.

The RHONJ episode opened with Teresa entering the house on Christmas Eve when her husband Joe was alone in the kitchen. The couple then hugged and kissed each other before their daughters came in.

However, on the other side, Jacqueline Laurita, along with Melissa and Joe Gorga were preparing for a storm.

Melissa was preparing to launch her own entrepreneurial venture. Her husband Joe was making a boutique ready for her, but he was not happy with the business as he thought retail was risky. Besides, Melissa made it clear that whatever Joe was doing for her, to set up her business, he was getting paid for it by her.

“You are working for me. Get to work!” she cracked up while talking to Joe. The latter meanwhile sent his wife home to cook dinner. It brought to the fore the strong desire of Melissa to become a modern woman, in spite of being a wife and mother. She wanted to make a name for herself.

Jacqueline and Chris Laurita struggled due to their new monetary status. The pair had sold some of their possessions and wanted to downsize. They wanted to focus on their love instead of spending money on Christmas gifts.

Their son Nicholas who had struggled with severe autism was reading, riding a bike. Besides, things settled down between Jacqueline and her 25-year-old daughter Ashlee. So the best thing for them amongst financial struggle is that they had become a family.

Teresa sent a letter to her sister-in-law Melissa as well as Jacqueline from jail. She wrote to both saying that she was looking forward to meeting them during Christmas. Jacqueline and Teresa were friends for the last 13 years, but things had gone amiss between them. Two newbie Housewives dropped in to celebrate at Jacqueline and Chris’ holiday bash — Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania.

Fans were clearly in love with the emotional episode:

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
