What's This?

To hush the complaints about poor battery life, Apple recently launched the Smart Battery Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. But users were not happy even though it claimed to giving their phone’s battery life up to 25 hours. Why?

Because some didn’t like the look of the Smart Battery Case, while others are not happy with the price tag: $99. So is it worth buying?

The case is flexible as it is made of silicone, like every other iPhone case. You will be able to slip in your phone by picking up the top corner of your case. Though the design looks similar to other cases, here is how the Smart Battery Case is different. Unlike other iPhone cases, the case charges along with your phone. There is a small indicator inside the case which tells you if your battery still needs charging. Orange light stands for charging, and green means fully charged. But this indicator works when your phone and case are charging. In this case, you will have to check the notification on your phone for remaining battery life.

What about performance? Is your iPhone’s battery life really improving? This Smart Battery Case sports a 1,877 mAh battery, which gives your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6S a battery life of 3 hours, 23 minutes. This includes video streaming. Now that is poor performance, to be very honest. There are other battery cases for iPhone that give you a battery life of 4+ hours for $99.
