Hillary Clinton’s former computer specialist Paul Combetta allegedly solicited advice about the former First Lady’s private email server on Reddit.
Now, an army of Reddit users are alleging that they found evidence saying the former computer specialist sought free advice. Evidence of this sort could actually bust the entire email cover-up.
According to US News, a joint investigation reported that a Reddit user with the username “stonetear” insisted for help regarding retaining and purging email messages after 60 days. The user also asked for advice about methods to remove a “VERY VIP” individual’s email address from archived content.
The investigation said that the requests perfectly matched with publicly known dates related to Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server when she was Secretary of State.
“I may be facing a very interesting situation where I need to strip out a VIP’s (VERY VIP) email address from a bunch of archived email that I have,” stonetear wrote on a Reddit thread.
“Basically, they don’t want the VIP’s email address exposed to anyone, and want to be able to either strip out or replace the email address in the to/from fields in all of the emails we want to send out.”
The former computer specialist was recently provided immunity by the Justice Department with its inquiry into the Democratic candidate’s private email server controversy. However, no comment could be fetched from representatives of the former First Lady, nor Paul Combetta.
According to Vice Motherboard, it is impossible to know if it’s definitely Combetta. However, the publication noted that “a number of breadcrumbs point in Combetta’s direction.”
The Reddit post about Hillary Clinton’s private server is being reviewed by the House Oversight Committee. Representative Mark Meadows acts as the chairman of the panel’s Government Operations subcommittee.
“The Reddit post issue and its connection to Paul Combetta is currently being reviewed by OGR staff and evaluations are being made as to the authenticity of the post,” Meadows said.
It was reported by The Hill that the army of Reddit users had uncovered a two-year-old post from the account, which might belong to Combetta. The post had been deleted but can be read in images archived by users.
Shockingly, the post intersects with the discovery date of the former First Lady’s use of the server.
