Is Dexter sharpening his knife one more time? If rumors are to be believed, “Dexter” will be back on TV soon. The hit thriller that ended with its eighth season deserves a comeback. David Nevins, the head of Showtime, has expressed sharp interest for a “Dexter” reboot.
While “Dexter” was too fascinating, the ending was not up to mark. A revival will surely be accepted. A “Dexter” reboot will make sense as viewers are ready to grab more thrills. Nevins said, “’Dexter’ is the one show that I would think about [continuing]. It’s a question of when the timing is right. If there’s a willingness to do it, I would certainly listen. Certainly I’d look at ‘Dexter.’”
Will Michael C. Hall be part of the “Dexter” reboot? Davis said, “I would only do it with Michael,” firming it with, “It remains to be seen if they’re going to want to do it, if I’m going to want to do it.”
The story of Dexter was that of a serial killer. He used to channel his needs for the good of people. He was a serial killer who only killed criminals. The fate of Dexter was not determined at the end of the season. He chose to live a mundane life at the end. According to Davis, if the story continues from there, it would be different. A “Dexter” reboot will not just be a continuation.
While many see hints of a “Dexter” reboot, there is no confirmation made by Showtime. Keep your fingers crossed as we get you the latest news.
