The latest expansion pack for Rainbow Six Siege will be available starting next week. To further build hype for the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege DLC, Ubisoft recently announced what fans can expect from the Operation Skull Rain update.

Rainbow Six Siege DLC Operation Skull Rain features a brand-new map and two Brazil-based Operators. The software content also adds a Tactical Realism game mode, a surrender system and an angled grip attachment for players.

Writing on the company’s official blog site, Ubisoft senior communication manager Giancarlo Varanini stated that the new map is set in Brazil. It is the most destructible map in Rainbow Six Siege thus far. Additionally, the favela-inspired sandbox will support exterior shell destruction.

With regards to the two new Operators, they are both based from Brazil’s Batalhao de Operaçoes Policiais Especiais, aka BOPE. Each Operator has unique abilities and weapons, as per Express.com.

Capitao is a crossbow-wielding attacker who can shoot oxygen-burning bolts within a particular radius. He can hide team positions and movements by activating micro smoke grenades. In the firearm department, Capitao carries a PARA-308 carbine rifle and M-249 light machine gun.

Caveira is a sneaky and defensive Operator. She is equipped with an M12 and SPAS-15 as her primary weapons. Her gadgets include Barbed Wire and Nitro Cell C4. Caveira has the “Silent Step” skill. She can stealthily immobilize opponents and force them to disclose their team’s location.

The upcoming Rainbow Six Siege DLC Operation Skull Rain will go live on PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows next Tuesday, August 2. The Brazil map will be a free download to all Rainbow Six Siege players.

Meanwhile, Capitao and Caveira will be a one-week exclusive for the game’s season pass holders. After a week, the two new Operators will be made available to everyone else.

Rainbow Six Siege was released for current-gen consoles and PC back in December 2015. The first-person shooter has since garnered rave reviews from Game Spot and IGN.
