Queen Elizabeth has reportedly warned Prince William and Kate Middleton to step up their engagements or else be stripped of royal privileges. The royal couple have shown their displeasure during their engagement at the National Football Museum and University of Manchester’s National Graphene Institute in Manchester on Thursday.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been on their feet and working non-stop since the queen stepped up their engagements from this summer. The couple have got bad press for themselves recently being called work shy.
According to CDL, the queen does not any of that to be repeated and wants the public to see William and Kate out and about. It has been reported that the pair hardly have time to go back to their Anmer Hall country home in Norfolk.
Queen Elizabeth is now giving William and Kate back-to-back events to make sure they are always visible in the press. For the couple their old days of only one or two royal engagements are over.
Kate Middleton after coming back from Canada carried out her first solo engagement abroad in the Netherlands. The Duchess of Cambridge surprised everyone when she took home a flight of the British Airways back home to London, People reports.
Maybe boarding a commercial flight for Kate was a ploy by the queen to get some good reviews for the royal family. This is not the first time that a member of the royal family has flown with the public.
In 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton flew from Los Angeles to London on British Airways. In 2014, William flew to Washington on a commercial flight.
In less than a week’s time from her Netherlands trip, Kate and William were in Manchester. The royal couple did not look too happy to take up the engagement.
