Queen Elizabeth threw a final birthday party for her family and friends at Draper’s Hall in London on Tuesday. But, Kate Middleton and Prince William were nowhere in sight.
Looks like Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton are having a cold war and Prince William and the kids have been caught in the middle!
Prince Philip was beside his wife of 65 years. Close family members included Princess Anne and Princess Eugenie. The party was a wrap up to the queen’s milestone 90th birthday that was on April 21 and was celebrated across the U.K. with a series of festivities, Hello reports.
Lord Freddie and Lady Gabriella Windsor; Lady Marina and Lady Amelia Windsor; the queen’s cousin Lady Elizabeth Anson, and her twice removed cousin Flora Ogilvy, who played an extra in “Downton Abbey” Season 4 also attended the private party. Nicholas Soames, MP, and Tim Laurence were also in attendance.
The nonagenarian royal looked classy in a floral knee-length dress, which she paired with her trusted black pumps. She also carried her favorite small black Launer handbag.
Queen Elizabeth accessorized with a three-string pearl necklace and matching drop earrings, and wore a slick of red lipstick. Her granddaughter Eugenie looked stylish in a white and blue sleeveless dress.
The 26-year-old accessorized with necklaces, bracelets, rings and a pink clutch bag. She wore pink and metallic gray pointed toe high heels with strap detail.
The queen and her husband will be heading to Balmoral in Scotland for their summer holiday. Meanwhile, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cambridge did not attend as they were on an official visit to Devon and Cornwall, Daily Mail reports.
Notably absent at the birthday bash were Kate and her husband William. Were the royal couple not invited to join the celebrations?
But then again, the royal couple maybe too busy preparing for Prince George’s third birthday on Friday. Kate may have decided to skip the party altogether because she does not see eye to eye with Eugenie.
