Looking gracious in a pale pink coat and a matching hat in floral design, this time, Her Majesty herself upheld the practice of recycling an entire outfit. She paired the dress by Stewart Parvin with her signature loafers and a black Launer London handbag. According to the CEO of Launer London, Gerald Bodmer, the Queen has a collection of more than 200 purses.
“It’s amazing how they last,” he told the Daily Mail. “They’re structured; that’s our strength.”
Middleton is known for repeating an entire outfit again on more than one occasions. And so far it has been taken very positively by the fashion guild as well. The move by Queen Elizabeth to don the same outfit that she wore in 2013 is expected to earn the approval of fashionistas as well and the Duchess herself.
Even though it is Middleton who is known for repeating outfits, this also not the first time that Queen Elizabeth has worn an outfit more than once, the Hollywood Life reported. She was often seen recycling some of her favorite outfits on a number of occasions.
On the other hand, Middleton also chose to repeat a gown on Wednesday that she wore exactly about five years ago. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were attending an event organized by the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. The event will be raising funds for the building of a new hospice in Norfolk, England, the US Magazine reported.
The Jenny Packham gown studded with Swarovski crystals has an emotional value as well. It is the same gown that the Duchess wore on June 9, 2011 during her first royal engagement after tying the knot with Prince William.
