On the other hand, Puerto Rico absorbed a tough 87-81 loss to Serbia in their tournament opener. But in their do-or-die match against Angola, Puerto Rico leaned on their experience to escape with a hard-earned 91-81 win to book a spot in the 2016 FIBA OQT semis.
John Holland averaged 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds to go along with 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists. NBA veteran JJ Barea tallied 14.0 points on top of 5.0 assists, while fellow international basketball veteran Carlos Arroyo racked up 12.5 points and 3.5 assists per game for Puerto Rico.
