What's This?

PlayStation 4 is giving gamers another reason to celebrate. From today, Sony is releasing a beta program which will bring along some really cool features to life. Please note that only players who had signed up for the beta program and was among the selected ones will be able to download this PS4 update.

If a PS4 update is coming, it must definitely be bringing along with it new things to look forward to. As expected, Sony will also add new features. When Xbox One Preview Program was rolled out, Microsoft made it easy for players to connect with other friends and also become more social with their gaming. Sony will also do the same for PS4.

This PS4 update will notify you when your friends come online. If you are tired of being connected with other people and want to be all alone in your gaming world, then you can also choose to appear offline. Here comes the best part; the PS4 update will let you “schedule a future gameplay session with your friends on the system.” said PlayStation on its blog while announcing the Beta Update. The post further added, “When your event starts, users who registered for the event will automatically be added to a party so you can start playing right away.” Cool, isn’t it? “Play Together” is also a feature that will be added with S4 update. It will allow you to “to see what each person is playing so that you can easily join a friend’s game, or start a new game together.”

DailyMotion and Remote Play are two other new features that will take PS4 gaming to another level. With DailyMotion, you will be able to live stream on PS4. Remote Play will also soon be made available for Windows PCs and Macs, but the feature isn’t available at the Beta stage.
