Princess Eugenie and her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank are moving in together. The 26-year-old royal lives in an apartment with her older sister Princess Beatrice in St James’s Palace.
Her current residence is the family’s official home in London. The four-bedroom apartment of the sisters is funded by taxpayers.
But, now Princess Eugenie will move out from the shadows of her father’s home. The young royal is all set to live with her boyfriend in Kensington Palace.
The princess is reportedly renting out a three-bedroom villa. The couple will move into Ivy Cottage in Kensington palace next year.
A source told Daily Mail that Princess Eugenie will now pay “market rent” at her new accommodation. However, the insider was unable to confirm whether public money would be spent on the Kensington Palace cottage.
“The matter is still under discussion, but it is likely that she will take over the property in the next few months,” the source said. Princess Eugenie’s mom Sarah Ferguson’s spokesperson has denied claims that the former will tie the knot with her boyfriend in 2017, Hello reports.
After reports of the princess moving in with her boyfriend surfaced, there are rumors that the couple will tie the knot next year. Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, 29, have been dating since the last six years.
The Express UK reported that the couple was planning to become officially engaged before the end of the year. Kensington Palace is also the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.
“What can be said with all certainty is that Jack will not be moving in with her and nor are they planning to get married,” the insider said. He added that the couple will settle down together in the future.
Jack is the manager of celebrity hotspot club Mahiki in Mayfair, and is very close to Prince Andrew and Sarah. Eugenie and Jack were introduced by friends during a break in Switzerland.
