Fans should savor each episode of “Pretty Little Liars” season 7 because there might not be a season 8 after this! The showrunners have hinted that the upcoming season might be the end of the road for “Pretty Little Liars.”
The season 7 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” is just knocking at the door and the fans are being greeted with the sad truth that the show might not return for another season after this one!
Even though nothing has been confirmed or denied by the network in an official capacity, all hints point to season 7 being the final one in the series.
“We’re not officially allowed to say but it is a season of closure, I can say that.” Marlene King, the Executive Producer of PLL told USA Today.

And since season 7 could be the “It’s the beginning of the end as we know it,” the showrunners are going to pulling out all stops to make it a memorable one and tie up all the loose ends as best as possible.
“99.9 percent of (fans’) questions will be answered (this season). We find out a lot of the ‘who’ and the ‘why’ and the ‘how’. This year is very epic and big,” added King.

But with so many more stories to unfold, will the showrunners really be able to end up answering all the questions that have been raging in the minds of PLL fans since the beginning of the show? A
part from all the relationship drama surrounding the PLL couples, there is also the question of “Uber A” or “A.D.” to put to bed.
“The current (secretive antagonist) A.D. knows that they are A.D., but I promised that person I would not tell the others. We don’t reveal deaths to people until the very last minute,” quipped King.
According to Variety, Marlene King has not completely banished the possibility that popular demand of the fans could award the series another life:
“The show is coming to a closure of sorts, and that’s all we can say for now. Everyone loves their characters and the world so we hope it continues in some way shape or form”
