Huawei disseminated “save the date” press invites to clients and consumers, indicating an unveiling of a device on April 6. The theme of the event is “Change the way you see the world”, which certainly hints at the release of the Huawei P9.

In the invite, Huawei published a curious looking sign- #00, which is creating a lot of confusion. While nothing was mentioned specifically about the Huawei P9 in the invite, the sign could relate to the dual cameras that will appear side by side on the rear side of the device. Or, the sign could hint at two eyes. It could be any of the two options, but both are connected to the phrase about changing the world the way you see it.

In an earlier published teaser, Huawei hinted at the release of P9 along with three other variants. But the recent invitation confirmed that the devices will come in April. Huawei P9 Max, P9 Lite and P9 Special Edition are the other products that will be launched with the P9, reports PhoneArena.

Since the Huawei P8 was tagged a “formidable” handset by critics, a lot of improvements are expected from the Huawei P9. One of the most likely features would be an enhanced processor. The device will feature two chips- Huawei’s own Kirin 950 and the Kirin 955.

Speculations are doing the rounds that the Huawei P9 will sport a dual-camera system. It will include depth-of-field technology for enhanced picture quality. There are more reports flowing in that suggest that the Huwei P9 will run on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, states Trusted Reviews.

Other reports suggest that the Huawei P9 Special Edition will come with a 6.2-inch display. The device will be powered by Kirin 955 chipset and 4GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Huawei P9 Max is expected to sport a 6.8-inch display and will be equipped with Kirin 955 chipset. The device will be powered by 4GB of RAM or 128GB of ROM.
