‘Pokémon Sun’ And ‘Pokémon Moon’ Great Gifts For Holidays
Aside from being the most pre-ordered video game in the history of Nintendo, the two Pokemon games also became the fastest-selling Nintendo titles in the U.S.
The good news has been announced by the company in a press release. The amount of units sold is reportedly 85 percent more than previous games “Pokémon X” and “Pokémon Y,” both released in 2013.
Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said that “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” are indeed the best games to buy this holiday season. “With great reviews and outstanding fan response, these next iterations in the Pokémon series are sure to please any player in the family.”
Since 1996, all Pokémon-related software have already sold 280 million units around the world.
The games require players to step into the shoes of a trainer whose quest is to travel various lands catching creatures known as Pokémon.
Pikachu Movie To Be Directed By Rob Letterman
Despite the new batch of Pokémon being introduced, it looks like one from the original continues to steal the limelight. The lovable yellow creature Pikachu is set to get its own movie.
Variety has confirmed from sources that Rob Letterman will direct “Detective Pikachu” for Legendary. Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch serve as writers of the script.
Letterman is known as the director of other hit movies such as 2015’s “Goosebumps” and 2009’s “Monsters vs. Aliens.”
