The Pokemon Company International has officially unveiled the newest character to be featured in the much-awaited Pokemon Sun & Moon games. Magearna is a mythical and artificial Pokemon who has the appearance of a steel fairy.
Magearna, localized in Japan as Magiana, is a 3-foot Pokemon made purely of steel. Magearna has a cog-like head, two long ears, a dot for a nose and a metallic sphere body which closely resembles a pink Poke ball.
Game Zone reported that Magearna has an ability that’s unseen before in the world of Pokemon. During battle, it can read the minds of other Pokemon and imitate their emotions and feelings. It’s Soul Heart ability is said to come from the life of other Pokemon.
Pokemon Wikia has yet to reveal Magearna’s stats, but that hasn’t stop Pokemon aficionados from posting their own astute predictions. The Perfect Guy believes Magearna will have a stat line of 110 Hit Points, 60 Attack, 90 Defense, 70 Speed, 150 Special Attack and 120 Special Defense.
Magearna will be included in the pool of playable characters in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Both role-playing titles will release on November 18, 2016.
Fans who can’t wait to see Magearna in action can catch a glimpse of the mystical steel fairy in next month’s “Volcanion and the Exquisite Magearna.” The upcoming anime flick will be the 19th installment in the popular Pokemon movie franchise.
“They [Ash and Volcanion] arrive in a city of cogs and gears, where a corrupt minister has stolen the ultimate invention: the Artificial Pokémon Magearna, created 500 years ago,” read an excerpt of the film’s press release via Techno Buffalo. “Can Ash and Volcanion work together to rescue Magearna?
