Now you can finally control Eevee’s evolvement by one simple trick in “Pokemon Go”! So which Pokemon do you want Eevee to evolve into?

Eevee has quickly become the most sought after Pokemon in “Pokemon Go”. The reason is that it can evolve into any of the three rare Pokemons – Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon.

However, choosing what Eevee evolves into has proven to be trickier than usual. Even though a number of theories, regarding this issue, were floating about, none of them could be proven to work.

‘Pokemon Go’ Rumors

One such rumor was that the color of the Pokemon gym nearest to the player determined what Eevee evolved into. This theory was discarded almost as soon as it started.

Another such rumor was that secondary attack of Eevee played a vital role in hinting what Eevee would end up evolving into, reports Gamerant. However, that rumor too was proved false eventually.

Finally a “Pokemon Go” player on Reddit, with the username “smithnigel” was able to figure out the secret of controlling Eevee’s transformation and you won’t believe how simple it is, reports Heavy!

Eevee’s Evolution

Step #1: Go to “Menu” option and select Eevee to begin.

Step #2: Click the “Edit” option beside Eevee’s name.

Step #3: Change Eevee’s name to one of the following, depending on which Pokemon you want Eevee to transform into – “Sparky” for Jolteon, “Rainer” for Vaporeon and “Pyro” for “Flareon”.

Step #4: Click on “Save”.

Step #5:  Restart the game (optional but recommended since the servers of the game are not so strong at present).

Step #6: Click on “Evolve” and you are all set!

The concept is built this way to pay tribute to the original Pokemon series which hosted three Eevee brothers with the names “Sparky”, “Rainer” and “Pyro” respectively and each had their own corresponding Pokemons.

P.S. you might want to go for Vaporeon as it has the most HP out of all the three Eevee variants.
