If you want to become the master of Pokemon gyms in “Pokemon Go” you have to learn the art of choosing the right Pokemon for the fights every time.

Catching rare Pokemon is only half the battle in “Pokemon Go”. Players also need to actually battle it out with other trainers in gyms if they wish to become the ultimate champion of the game. However, choosing the wrong kind of Pokemon against your opponent might cost you a fight!

Following an age-old gaming rule of “Rock, Paper, Scissor”, “Pokemon Go” has its own version, with a few more species involved, and while every Pokemon type has its own strengths, it simultaneously has its own weaknesses too!

Reddit has helped devise a Pokemon Battle Chart that specifies the strengths and weakness of every Pokemon type:

  • An Electric Pokemon is vulnerable to Ground Pokemon and is strong against Water and Flying Pokemon.
  • A Fairy Pokemon is vulnerable to Poison and Steel Pokemon and is strong against Dragon and Fighting Pokemon.
  • A Poison Pokemon is vulnerable to Ground and Psychic Pokemon and is strong against Grass and Fairy Pokemon.
  • A Water Pokemon is vulnerable to Electric and Grass Pokemon and is strong against Fire, Ground and Rock Pokemon.
  • A Fighting Pokemon is vulnerable to Flying, Fairy, and Psychic Pokemon and is strong against Ice, Rock, Steel and Dark Pokemon.

  • A Grass Pokemon is vulnerable to Poison, Flying, Bug, Fire, and Ice Pokemon and is strong against Water, Ground, and Rock Pokemon.
  • A Rock Pokemon is vulnerable to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Water and Grass Pokemon and is strong against Bug, Fire, Ice and Flying Pokemon.
