What's This?

Pink is taking up a new role. The star has announced that she is one of the new ambassadors of UNICEF. She announced it on “Good Morning America.”

Pink mentioned in the interview with Robin Roberts, “I’ve always wanted to work with UNICEF. It’s the one organization that has over the last 15 years just consistently been in my mind for all the amazing things that they do.”

Pink said that her trip to Haiti did the trick. She got to become more aware of the lives of children living with malnutrition. The condition horrified her. It drove her to take responsibility. Pink, new ambassador of UNICEF, mentioned that being a mother herself allows her to see how difficult it is for children in pain. Her daughter was always in her mind when she looked at the kids.

She said, “When you have a child of your own and you try to imagine looking at them and not being able to feed them. It does something to you.”

She has already worked in Haiti. She mentioned, “It was an amazing trip,” adding, “It’s one thing to see something on paper, but to see it in real life…” She is looking forward to working as a UNICEF ambassador. She mentioned, “It’s so empowering to be in charge of helping.”

Pink, new ambassador of UNICEF, loves her 4-year-old daughter. The 36-year-old pop star is all set to take up her new job with as much dedication she gives to her singing. She has talked openly about UNICEF’s capacity to help kids in need.
