Photos: Behind The Scenes Of Princess Charlotte Christening
The Kensington Palace released photos of the royal family taken after Princess Charlotte’s christening. The official photos were taken by Mario Testino who said that the most wonderful thing about the royal family is the closeness of the members off cam.
The royal family photo
The official family portrait includes members of the Middletons. The Queen sits on a chaise lounge with Prince William, Prince George and Kate Middleton, who is carrying Princess Charlotte. In one photo Prince William is playing with Prince George in the garden of Sandringham House where Princess Charlotte was christened. There is also a photo of the Duchess of Cambridge lovingly carrying Princess Charlotte. Lastly, there was a family photo of Prince William, Princess Kate and their children.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham. They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them as much as they do,” Kensington said in its statement.
The energy of the family
Peruvian photographer Testino said he was impressed by the energy of the family off cam, especially the energy and fire between the Duke and Duchess. He can very well said that the family are solid together.
“Photographing Princess Charlotte’s christening was an amazing experience. What impressed me the most was the energy of the family, and of that between the Duke and Duchess. One sees how solid they are together and one gets a sense of their strong family values,” Testino said.
“It was incredible to be able to document four generations of the British Royal Family together – the monarch and three heirs to the throne – and very heart-warming to see the close relationship between them all,” he added.
“I am overwhelmed and honoured to be chosen to document this occasion and to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much.”
