The rate at which “Person of Interest” is dishing out its season 5 episodes is sure to give some fans a heart attack since they are being shocked with fresh twists before they have time to recover from the last one. Same goes for “Person of Interest” Season 5 episode 9, airing next Monday. Reportedly, a familiar face is coming back to create  more trouble for Reese and Fusco.

 “Person of Interest”  Season 5

The episode is called “Sotto Voce,” which according to CarterMatt, means a soft-spoken voice. It is aptly named since it will feature “The Voice”, a villain who has appeared earlier in the series and is back to terrorize the precinct where Fusco and Reese work.

Not much else is known about the episode since the producers of the show are into that “no-spoilers” mode with any upcoming episode promos they release.

While it may be frustrating for some of the fans, it is logical since it makes sure that they will have to tune in, to every episode, lest they want to miss some crucial twists. The recent promo of episode 9 just shows a lot of hands-on action as Reese and Fusco try to take down The Voice and his men.

Hollywood Hills has published the following synopsis of the upcoming episode, which again does not give away much:

“The mysterious criminal mastermind known as “The Voice” is going to return and trap Reese and Fusco in their own precinct with several armed gang members and the latest POI. Also, Root will end up making a shocking discovery.”

No other details regarding Root’s discovery have been revealed. Guests starts will include Neal Huff, Rupak Ginn, Theodore Feldman, Gino Vento, Marcus Ho, Philip Reid, Elizabeth Loyacano, Al Roffe, Jose Joaquin Perez and John Halas.
