The extremely anticipated Zayn Malik diss track named “Shout Out To My Ex” got debuted on the X-Factor. Perrie Edwards was spotted as leaving the studio delighted with herself.
According to Mirror, the song is a scornful critique on Zayn Malik, her former fiance. Perrie has confirmed that her engagement with Zayn Malik did end because of him. The Daily Mail reported Perrie as terming the entire period with him as the “worst time” .
In a leaked passage of Perrie’s, she wrote, “It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.” She added, “Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
Zayn on the other hand, had told the Fade magazine about how much he respects and love Perrie. He pointed out that he would never end a 4-year relationship over a text message. Zayn said, “She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that.”
On Sunday, Perrie along with her bandmates took the stage at X Factor. Quotes started to emerge as they performed their new track and an aptly named one, “Shout Out To My Ex.”
The Little Mix put on a memorable performance on a triumphant return. It was Perrie who caught the eyes as she stole the show from the other four. The song which comes from a new album of theirs named ‘Therapeutic’, which has several line directly swiped at Zayn Malik.
The Sun reported that the 23-year-old blonde, was heard singing harsh words which were a part of the lyrics. It is speculated that the song hints at their Zayn himself and their poor sexual life. She even threw a brutal line at him through the lyrics which has been a widespread controversy in the circuit.
Perrie taunts allegedly by saying, “I hope she gettin’ better sex, Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe.”
