Gossip blogger Perez Hilton had some scathing words when describing Miss Colombia 2015. “Straight-up diva bitch” was used, as well as “rude” and “arrogant.” He confessed he was rooting for Miss Colombia at first, but Miss Philippines surprised him. Hence, he voted for her, revealing that it was a unanimous choice among four judges.
“I didn’t know if the people at home could see this, but Miss Colombia was being straight-up diva rude to her translator. She was like giving the most awful side eye and throwing major shade because Colombia was not happy with the pace or the way that the translator was translating. It was a major turn-off,” Hilton said in his Podcast.
Hilton compared Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia. “Miss Philippines came to win, and Miss Colombia came to lose. Colombia came there as if she had already won – and that’s sexy also and it’s intoxicating to have that confidence – but I think that she truly believes that she was going to win, whereas Miss Philippines came with something to prove,” Hilton went on.
Hilton confessed that his first favorite was Colombia. But Miss Philippines completely got him after the Q & A portion when they were down to the top 3. He said that he was still in favor of Miss Colombia up until the interview portion during top 5.
Miss Colombia came across as arrogant not just to Hilton but to other judges as well, Hilton said in the podcast. But more than that, the four judges were hands down impressed with Miss Philippines’ answer. “She (Miss Philippines) brought her A-game and was super competitive, but also most like she deserved it. There’s to me, a real beauty and grace and elegance and she is Miss Universe, whereas Miss Colombia, you are Sofia Vergara. You are not Miss Universe, you look so much like Sofia Vergara. She (Miss Philippines) was just being herself and not trying to emulate anybody else. I felt she really earned it fair and square,” Hilton said.
Hilton was consistent in his statements that Philippines was far more deserving than Colombia. In an exclusive interview with US Weekly, he had spoken in the same tune. He said Miss Colombia did not win and did not deserve to win. “We didn’t vote for her and one of the reasons why I didn’t was because she didn’t answer the questions as well and also, to me, she gave off this arrogant vibe.”
Hilton noted that Colombia cannot accept defeat. As previously reported by Morning News USA, Miss Colombia posted a photo of herself wearing the crown. Her caption said she will always be the Miss Universe for Colombia.
“Even now in defeat and the wake of everything happened, on her social media, Miss Colombia has not been handling it well. She’s putting these Instagram posts up about how she’s the real winner, but she’s not! We didn’t vote for her! She didn’t win. What she is doing on Instagram is indicative of who she is as a person,” Hilton declared regarding Miss Colombia 2015.
