Payback: Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ Video Parodied By Justin Bieber, 5SOS, Meghan Trainor & More!
Kanye West is never a stranger to controversy be it slamming Taylor Swift or inappropriate comments made on live TV. This time, Yeezy has upset a few celebrities in his new music video for “Famous.”Advertisement
Among those the rapper managed to include in his music video were Rihanna, Chris Brown, Ray J, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, himself and wife Kim Kardashian. Obviously, most weren’t too pleased with the prospect.
According to Billboard, the music video depicts the celebrities nude and sharing a bed with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The rapper is rumored to have forked out almost $1 million dollars for wax figures of the celebrities who appeared in the video.
Getting Back At Kanye West
Fortunately, the celebs got a little bit of payback for their indecent exposure in the aptly named “Famous” video. BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw decided to parody Yeezy’s video in the most hilarious way.
According to IBTimes, his Safe-For-Work version of Famous included other famous names in the industry. The line-up includes Cheryl, Justin Bieber, 5SOS, Nick Jonas, Carly Rae Jepsen, Meghan Trainor, Troye Sivan, Craig David, and Ant & Dec.
The video shows the Bieb debating with Cheryl on who is the hottest star. Bieber then says it’s probably him before quickly retracting the statement and saying he does have a symmetrical face.
Cheryl then challenges him that he cannot spend the next minute giving her compliments. This prompts Justin Bieber to reel off a list of compliments t her.
The next scene shows Meghan Trainor with Troye Sivan and his feeble attempts at flirting with her. She turns down all her advances with lyrics from her song No.
Nick Jonas then tries a pick-up line on Carly Rae Jepsen. Finally, Craig David shares the bed with Ant McPartlin only to discover the other half of the inseparable TV duo right beside him.
All of this is happening in a bed, an obvious jab at the bed scene from the video. Even funnier is that while it took Kanye West almost a year to finish his, Grimshaw took considerably less to make his more appealing parody.
