Elizabeth Olsen is a liar, according to his “Captain America: Civil War” co-star Paul Bettany. She recently shared that she signed on the Scarlet Witch role with the assurance that she will not wear the original skinny comic book costume.
During an interview with E! News at the Audi special screening of their movie, the 27-year-old actress was trying to reveal something about the 44-year-old actor, which he vehemently denied.
“She’s just saying that to try and get me to sing,” the actor, who portrays the role of The Vision in the Chris Evans-starrer, exclaimed when the actress claimed that he can sing well. “It’s a total lie.”
“We have a bet of who can get the other person to do the most embarrassing thing on camera,” he continued to explain about what Elizabeth Olsen just dished out. “This is her sad attempt to try and get me to sing on camera.”
In the meantime, Screen Rant reported that the younger sister of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen finally responded to comments that her Scarlet Witch looked totally different from the one in the comics.
“I did ballet growing up, but that’s not a confident look!” she pointed out while speaking about her role in the widely-popular film “Captain America: Civil War” on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
In the comics version of the character’s costume, it can be noted that Elizabeth Olsen may had been forced to wear an extra skimpy outfit, which could have been a hindrance for her to be comfortable enough in executing certain scenes.
When the role was offered to her, it was already declared that she would be wearing a different thing for the movie adaptation.
“‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ director Joss Whedon said there’s this character, Scarlet Witch, that I’m interested in for your to play,” Elizabeth Olsen recalled. “And when you go home and Google her, just know that you will never ever have to wear what she wears in the comics.”
