‘Zoolander 2’ Owen Wilson Followed Filipina Fashion Designer To The Philippines?
On Friday, March 11, the “No Escape” actor Owen Wilson surprised many when he suddenly arrived at the Philippines’ Ninoy Aquino International Airport. There are speculation that he followed a Filipina fashion designer to the country.Advertisement
When the American actor, writer and producer was asked about his visit, he simply replied that it was for leisure. But rumors claimed differently. According to reports, the “Zoolander” actor flew to the country because he is dating a Filipina named Wendy Puyat.
A Filipino local news site PEP learned from a source that Wilson was strongly attracted to Wendy. Allegedly, the actor first spotted her in Paris and followed her into the Philippines. In a text message sent by a Lifestyle society columnist to Manila Times, it was confirmed that the two were spending some time together. “Owen is now at the Manila Polo Club with Wendy watching the horse show,” the text reads. However, Wendy denied rumors that she is dating the Hollywood actor.
While Wilson’s camp ignores the rampant rumors, many are wondering who this Filipina is. Who is Wendy Puyat?
Wendy is the daughter of Putch Puyat (Godfather of Philippine Billiards). Wendy was also one of the members of Philippines’ “It Girls.” She was once married to Anthony Hotung, who is the son of the leader of one of Hong Kong’s wealthiest families. Their marriage, however, did not last long. Rumors have it that Puyat had an affair with a European guy, who served as the main reason behind her failed marriage.
Wendy is no newbie in the United States Entertainment scene as wll. She once partied with Hollywood A-listers, inculding “If I Were A Boy” hitmaker Beyoncé and her hip hop artist spouse Jay-Z.
Wilson vacationing in the Philippines for a break is not that surprising. He had some busy years of work as an actor. The actor’s portfolio also include notable movies such as the romantic comedy film “Wedding Crashers,” American-Spanish romantic comedy-fantasy film “Midnight in Paris,” and 2014’s fantasy and adventure “Night at The Museum: The Secret of The Tomb.”
